Your California Privacy Rights under California's Shine-the-Light Law

Last updated: April 25, 2026 · Effective date: April 25, 2026

This notice is provided by Alterion Labs, Inc. ("Alterion Labs", "we", "us", "our") in accordance with California Civil Code §1798.83, commonly known as the "Shine the Light" law.

What the law does

If you are a California resident with an established business relationship with Alterion Labs, you may, once per calendar year, request information about the personal information — if any — we have disclosed to third parties for those third parties' own direct-marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.

You may also request the names and addresses of those third parties.

Our practice

Alterion Labs does not disclose your personal information to third parties for those third parties' own direct-marketing purposes. This has been our practice since the company was founded and remains our practice today.

If this ever changes, we will update this notice in advance, post a clear opt-out, and respond to Shine-the-Light requests in line with the law.

How to make a request

Submit a written request to privacy@alterionlabs.com with the subject line "California Shine the Light Request". Include:

  • Your full name.
  • A California postal address where we can send a written response.
  • A statement that you are a California resident.
  • The calendar year for which you are requesting information.

You may also write to:

Alterion Labs, Inc. Attn: Privacy — Shine the Light 615 Hillcrest Dr Waunakee, WI 53597 United States

We will respond within thirty (30) days of receiving a properly submitted request. We are not required to respond to requests submitted by means other than those described above, and we may decline requests that are not from California residents or that are sent more than once in a calendar year.

Other California privacy rights

Shine the Light is separate from the rights you have under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA / CPRA), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
